I didn't remember just how much wear and tear on my equipment it means to tour and gig with a rock outfit like The Masters of Rock. I've spent most of the day fixing pedals, cables and power transformers. Next on the list is replacing a key that I broke on the last gig. ( a not unusual thing that happens when you play Deep Purple in Jon Lord style) ..

For the interested. To replace a key on the particular keyboard, you have to unscrew 74 screws, unmount circuit boards and disassemble the whole key bed from the synth... a service a repairman charges about $160 for, takes about 2 hours to do, which I've now done 9 times since starting with this outfit LOL So much so that I stopped ordering replacement keys 1 by 1 and bought another second hand keyboard (that uses the same keys) and stripped it of all keys and threw the rest out lol

Fun times indeed.. at least I have a couple of VB's to help ease the pains  ha ha

Grin Nice. Maybe the broken keys could become worthy if you started signing them. All this broken stuff is just proof of bringing the rock.

A few bands I've seen have suffered broken strings, which is a bit of an interruption. Even saw the bridge snap off an upright double bass not too long ago. NZ band Dawn Of Azazel toured all around Europe without a hitch, and then when they get back to their hometown the singer broke a string.

Can't say much about the taste in beer though. VB was ok to try once or twice, but there's others out there I prefer. Tongue

LOL , I preferred VB because they were free, and the best tasting beer is always the beer you haven't paid for, right?
